ABOUT THE POSITION: This opportunity is rare; the opportunity to work in a world-class cultural organisation in Melbourne. Reporting to our Digital Performance Manager, you will develop and implement content plans for the delivery of engaging social media across Museums Victoria's 19 Social Media channels, including those of the CEO. This involves developing content that supports the visitation across our Museums including Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre and the Royal Exhibition Building, as well as content that drives visitation and ticket sales to our special events and exhibitions. With a strong understanding of how Social Media content enhances the full marketing mix and the ability to adapt and test new and emerging platforms, you will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to support integrated marketing strategies and effectively engage and build specific audiences for each project. Notable skills and experiences: * Support the creation of and manage implementation of social media strategies, tactics and team guidelines/tools that align with Museums Victoria business goals. * Be able to administrate, generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news) across Museums Victoria multiple accounts and platforms. * Perform research on current benchmark and industry trends, and audience preferences including new and emerging technologies, hashtag strategies and new or expanded applications. * Develop plans for social only focused campaigns that will hit the specified target markets and achieve visitation targets. * Previous experience with eDM management and design will be highly regarded. The successful applicant will have: * A passion for the cultural/arts sector and the avenues it provides for creativity and story telling * The ability to juggle multiple content plans for different venues and channels * Demonstrable experience tracking social media performance, using social media monitoring tools, and reporting on KPIs. * A broad digital understanding of the role social media plays in a broader digital ecosystem (driving traffic to web, driving revenue etc.). * Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and with those in other departments/business units.
