A Lower Hunter local government council is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial support across the organisation. This is a 6-month temporary role with potential to transition to permanent. Enjoy flexible work arrangements, including up to 2 days from home per week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly reports, variance analysis, and forecasts.
* Provide strategic financial advice to managers and stakeholders.
* Support budgets, long-term financial plans, and statutory reporting.
* Lead process improvements and enhance financial accountability.
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
* Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or Senior Accountant.
* Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data analysis skills.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
* Proactive, commercially minded, and improvement-focused.
Remuneration: $54.24–$62.38 per hour + 12% super
