About the Role
Freewave Digital is a full-service digital consultancy based in Byron Bay. We work with service-based businesses and e-commerce brands, helping them grow through websites, branding, social media, content, paid advertising, digital systems, and strategic consulting.
This role sits on the creative and content side of the business. You'll be working across a mix of client accounts and Freewave's own marketing - producing social media content, graphics, video assets, and website updates for a varied client base, working directly with and reporting to our Director, Dan.
This is a contractor engagement, initially 1-2 days per week, with genuine scope to grow as the business does. Contractors who are based in or around Byron are preferred.

What You'll Be Doing
* Creating social media graphics, carousels, and visual posts
* Short-form video editing and asset cutting for social (Reels, TikTok, etc.)
* Website updates: banners, imagery, copy changes
* Email marketing graphics and campaign assets
* Supporting clients' broader marketing and campaign needs
* Contributing to Freewave's own internal content and social presence
What We're Looking For
We value capability and attitude more than credentials. Whether you've been building skills independently, through study, or through hands-on work - if you can back it up with experience or a portfolio, we want to hear from you.
Skills and experience we value:
* Experience with Canva, Figma, Adobe, and/or other design platforms - design is a core part of this role. While we can teach you, we'd prefer someone with a solid foundation.
* Short-form video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
* An eye for brand consistency across different clients and styles
* Experience with Meta Business Suite (Instagram, Facebook), Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn, and TikTok
* Some exposure to website platforms (Squarespace, Shopify, or similar) is advantageous.
A relevant qualification in design, marketing, communications, or a related field is desirable, but not required. What matters is that your skills are real and your experience shows it.
