We have a role available for a mechanical engineer to support this contract. Opportunities are based in NT, and require travel to various Defence bases including remote areas. Over our two-year program, you will build professional and technical skills through hands-on experience, structured rotations, formal training, and mentoring from industry leaders. About You
Our ideal candidate has:
* Completed a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering within the last 3 years at a recognised university (or completing this year).
* Be available to work full-time for the 2-year program duration.
* Hold a valid driver's licence.
* Australian Citizenship to be able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
* Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
* Willingness to learn and interested in working within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
You will support the engineering and asset management team in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems across multiple Defence estates. This role provides exposure to critical infrastructure planning, asset lifecycle management, hazardous materials assessment, and compliance with Defence standards and regulations. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to strategic documentation, system reviews, and cross-functional coordination across large-scale, high-compliance environments.
