Overview
This is an opportunity to lead the design of new products and take them from initial conception to fully manufactured object, providing engineering input to all aspects of design and manufacture.
Responsibilities
Lead control over all aspects of the process, including design, modelling and validation, pre-compliance testing, sourcing of components, assisting the OEM process, and assessing the quality of the product.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, or related qualification
Required: 5 years experience in a recent product introduction role
Required: Strong planning and organisational skills
Required: Experience in DFM and DFA
Required: Experience with requirements analysis and pre-compliance testing
Required: Able to work in a dynamic environment and get the best performance from team members
Highly desirable: Experience with thermal modelling or CFD
Highly desirable: Experience in supplier negotiation and quality management
Highly desirable: Experience working with international teams and supply chains
Work on developing new products for a prominent Australian company, developing products for consumer and office use.
