Job description:
Daylesford Hotel is a much-loved local pub in the heart of Daylesford. A place where the fire's always on, the beer's cold, and the food is exactly what you want it to be.
About the Position
We're looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on, service-driven role in a high-volume environment where consistency and reliability matter as much as technical skill. You'll work across rotating sections, contributing to a menu that celebrates honest, well-executed pub food.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work across kitchen sections, handling both prep and service with confidence.
* Maintain consistent standards in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Follow kitchen hygiene, WH&S, food safety, and stock management procedures, including rotation and labelling.
* Oversee daily cleaning routines and ensure proper storage and maintenance of stock.
* Work collaboratively with senior chefs, assisting with handovers and supporting apprentices where required.
About You:
* 2–3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a similar role.
* Comfortable working at pace without cutting corners.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A genuine appreciation for well-made food that doesn't overcomplicate things.
