The Position
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our dynamic team at Townsville. This exciting role involves delivering the Certificate III in Individual Support.
This role is a full time opportunity, two year contract from date of employment.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with standards for RTOs and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications.
* Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of diverse clients in the training program.
* Train, assess and support students throughout the course and during their placements.
* Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
* Some travel required for placement visits with use of company vehicle.
The Successful Applicant:
* Must hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or higher.
* Must hold a minimum Certificate III in Aged Care / Disability or Individual Support.
* Current industry experience across the Aged Care and Disability industries.
* Demonstrated knowledge in the achievement of client learning outcomes and high level client participation, retention and completion rates.
* Effective and flexible training delivery style that delivers positive outcomes across disadvantaged and culturally diverse clients.
* COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations may be required to attend placement visits.
Applicants must hold a Working with Children Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Worker Orientation Module, current Driver Licence and be able to complete a National Police Check.
