Job Description

Your new career
The Business Strategy and Performance Team leads the development and implementation of measurement frameworks to understand impact and monitor performance. They establish governance, planning and reporting frameworks to support the whole organisation and service delivery excellence for the community.

Within this team, the Business Strategy and Performance Officer will support the organisation in driving continuous improvement in planning and delivery across all council services, while providing expert guidance and advice to project teams.

Responsibilities

What you will bring to the role

We are looking for a capable and collaborative officer who is driven to have a positive impact on the organisation, the services, and outcomes delivered to the community.

Qualifications and experience

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent extensive experience.
- Experience in developing and delivering business strategy and planning processes or functions.
- Experience working in complex multi-businesses or government; local government experience is highly regarded.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strengths in one or more key responsibility areas with the ability to perform all key responsibilities.
- Well-developed writing, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Desirable knowledge and experience

- Broad knowledge of local government business functions.
- Experience participating in multi-organisation projects, including establishing a shared services function.
