BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however, it is expected on our Graduate programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.
What you will be doing
Naval Architecture at BAE Systems Naval Ships covers a large part of the ship design lifecycle; from concept design, through design & build, trials and commissioning, and delivery to the customer. Roles are available across the discipline; in Wholeship Engineering, Structures, Hydrodynamics, Stability, and Seamanship and Outfit, to suit your interest and skillset.
Duties and responsibilities
* Wholeship Integration, involving Engineering support through build.
* Structural design, including through production.
* Hull design and performance modelling to meet customer requirements.
* Stability modelling through maturing design and build.
* Integration of Seamanship and Outfit equipment into the ship systems.
Skills
* As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Ship Science, Marine Technology, Marine Engineering or Offshore Engineering.
