As a Disability Support Worker, you will have comprehensive knowledge of different disabilities & mental health diagnoses. You will also need to have experience supporting participants who show complex and challenging behaviour and be confident in responding to behaviours calmly and professionally and in line with behaviour support plans.
**Your tasks may include but not be limited to the following**:
- Behavioural management (physical and verbal aggression, property damage, absconding and sexualised behaviours)
- Work in a recovery-focused way
- Coordinate and implement social outings
- Day to day living support
- Complete detailed shift notes and incident reports.
**Qualifications and checks**
- Minimum Cert III qualification
- Full NSW Drivers License
- WWCC
- First Aid - Less than 3 years old
- CPR less than 12 months old
- Willingness to undergo a police check
- NDIS Worker Check (at your own cost)
- Evidence of vaccination or exemption from vaccination against COVID-19
