About the role
Herston Private Hospital is seeking experienced (2-3yrs)Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our dynamic PACU/Recovery and Theatre teams. As a Paediatric PACU or Scrub/Scout Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional perioperative care and support to our patients. Full-time and part-time positions available, based at our modern facility in Bowen Hills, QLD.
What you'll be doing
* Providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures throughout their intraoperative and postoperative experience.
* Monitoring patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the postoperative recovery period
* Assisting Surgeons by anticipating their needs and ensuring the surgical environment is safe and well-organised
* Documenting all nursing interventions and observations accurately
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless perioperative care
* Maintaining strict aseptic technique and infection control standards
* Participating in continuous professional development to enhance your clinical skills
What we're looking for
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse
* Minimum 2 years Paediatric PACU experience
* Significant experience in a theatre nursing role, preferably within a private hospital setting
* Excellent clinical skills and a strong understanding of perioperative and PACU nursing principles
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centred care
* Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
