As a key member of the project team, you will work directly with the Pearl Farm Engineering Manager to define project goals and objectives, create and maintain budgets and schedules, analyze progress, recommend improvements, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
The ideal candidate will hold a trade qualification, be 'hands-on', and have experience in mechanical repair, maintenance planning, project coordination, and scheduling within heavy industry or maritime engineering environments.
Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
Ability to work collaboratively, problem-solve, communicate effectively, and build strong working relationships are critical to success in this role.
Key responsibilities include: Assisting with project administration documentation. Providing technical support to the Pearling Engineering team. Developing Project Work Packs and operational instructions. Ensuring compliance with Work Health Safety Acts/Regulations. Maintaining detailed drawings, specifications, and manuals for vessels, equipment, and machinery. Developing operational maintenance programs for vessels and equipment. Scheduling project activities, updating schedules, and reporting potential issues, including site visits and project oversight. Updating project forecasts based on actual costs and progress. Supporting the Engineering Manager with reports and presentations. Consolidating schedule and cost data for review and approval. Supporting contingency and change management processes. Maintaining Work at Heights and Confined Space Entry qualifications.
