Accommodation Worker – Lakeview Transitional Accommodation Centre (Port Augusta)

About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Accommodation Workers to support residents within the Temporary Accommodation Centre (TAC). This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, respectful and well-run environment, supporting vulnerable individuals and families while working collaboratively with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day support to residents with respect, professionalism and cultural awareness
* Monitor site safety, security and wellbeing of residents
* Complete shift handovers, accurate journal entries and incident reports
* Assist with resident orientations and engagement activities
* Maintain cleanliness and presentation of units, facilities and grounds
* Support kitchen and dining operations during meal services
* Conduct headcounts and ensure children are appropriately supervised
* Liaise with internal teams and external authorities when required
* Follow WHS policies and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
* Willingness to perform manual and cleaning tasks
* Compassionate, adaptable and reliable approach
Mandatory Requirements
* National Police Clearance
* DHS Working with Children Check
* Mandated Notifier (or willingness to undertake training)
