Your next career opportunity As a Research Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining sophisticated software systems that support population health projects. You will collaborate with researchers and professional staff to elicit requirements, design solutions, and ensure high-quality software delivery. This role offers you the chance to work with advanced technologies and contribute to impactful research while advancing your career in a supportive academic environment. Your responsibilities will include: Support Existing Software Systems: Address bugs, implement improvements, and provide ongoing support for research tools and systems. Engage Stakeholders and Design Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design innovative software solutions. Develop and Document Software Tools: Create user and technical documentation and prototype new software tools for production release. Maintain Privacy and Security Standards: Uphold confidentiality and security protocols for research systems and data. You may be a great fit if: You possess a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in programming languages like Java and .Net / C#, and have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. You may also: Have a relevant tertiary degree in software engineering or computer science. Be experienced in Java, .Net /C#, and /or Python Django for web applications. Have expertise in SQL databases and system integration using secure APIs. Possess strong communication skills and experience in writing technical documentation.
