The Opportunity:
This is a hands-on role for a technical problem-solver who thrives on variety. You'll be the key link between our company, our customers, and our equipment manufacturers, ensuring that every system we install performs at its best. Your expertise will not only troubleshoot complex issues but also build trust and confidence in our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Commissioning: Perform on-site and in-house testing, debugging, and commissioning of residential and commercial solar PV and battery storage systems.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently, from inverter errors to complex system performance issues.
Customer Communication: Provide clear, professional, and empathetic support to customers, explaining technical issues in simple terms and managing expectations.
Liaison with Manufacturers: Work directly with equipment manufacturers to escalate issues, process warranty claims, and stay updated on technical bulletins.
Documentation: Complete detailed and accurate service reports, warranty documentation, and job sheets.
Safety First: Strictly adhere to and promote all workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols and electrical safety standards.
About You :
Essential: A relevant electrical trade qualification (e.g., A-Class Electrician License) or a strong background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Highly Desirable: Current ACT Electrical License and Clean Energy Council (CEC) accreditation for PV and Battery Storage. (We will consider strong candidates willing to obtain these).
Proven Experience: Previous experience in a hands-on technical role, ideally within the solar, renewable energy, or a related electrical field.
Problem-Solver: A logical and practical mindset with a strong ability to diagnose and fix complex technical problems.
Communicator: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You're confident in dealing with customers and manufacturers professionally.
Driven & Reliable: A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a commitment to seeing jobs through to completion. You take pride in your work.
License: A current, clean Australian Driver's Licence.
