About the Role
As the Executive Director Strategy, Planning and Infrastructure Services, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice to the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE) and the broader executive. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of major capital works programs and infrastructure initiatives across the HHS's vast geographical region.
You will also lead service planning to ensure the alignment of capacity, resources, and workforce to meet future clinical demands in a safe and sustainable way. This is a critical executive leadership position with influence across clinical, operational, and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level strategic advice on capital and infrastructure planning to the HSCE and Executive.
* Lead the delivery of major capital projects ensuring quality, cost, risk, and time objectives are met.
* Assess and advise on project viability including economic, environmental, and social impact.
* Oversee service planning to align health service delivery with community needs and future growth.
* Build strong partnerships across Queensland Health, local communities, and external stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for an accomplished executive with:
* Proven experience in leading large-scale capital projects and infrastructure planning.
* Strong knowledge of government and public health systems.
* Excellent stakeholder management, financial oversight, and governance skills.
* Strategic foresight and the ability to lead in complex, fast-changing environments.
