We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Administration Officer to join the Carinity Education Shalom Primary school community. As the first point of contact, you will welcome and assist students and visitors and provide administrative support and record keeping for school operations, responding to requests/needs from staff, management, students, parents, and the community within a timely manner.
This role will commence on 12th January **** and requires availability Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:06 PM.
Your day-to-day will involve
Welcoming and assisting students, families, and visitors while managing reception, calls, emails, and enquiries
Maintaining accurate student enrolment, attendance, and other school systems
Providing administrative support to teachers and leadership, including correspondence, photocopying, and resource management
Preparing invoices and supporting financial administration
Promoting a positive, professional, and inclusive school culture while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all
About you
You are passionate about supporting youth and their families. You bring empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with students, staff, and external professionals. You are organised, adaptable, and proactive in fostering a safe, supportive, and values-driven school environment.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Administration or relevant qualification
Ability to build rapport with and support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander learners
Current Blue Card
Experience and/or knowledge in trauma-informed practices in an educational setting or willingness to learn
