Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of financial operations in our construction environment.
This role requires a high-energy and detail-oriented individual who can leverage their expertise in financial management, job-related accounting, forecasting, contract valuation, and project cost tracking.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and client receipts.
* Prepare, analyse, and present regular financial reports, including aged debtors/creditors and forecasts. Reconcile ledger accounts and support month-end close processes.
* Operate within the Jobpac platform for managing job-related accounting, forecasting, contract valuation, and project cost tracking—ensuring real-time alignment between financial and project data.
* Oversee junior staff, providing training and review, instilling continuous improvement, and maintaining a high standard of financial service.
* Establish and maintain sound accounting procedures and internal controls, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
* Liaise with stakeholders, including project managers, operations staff, vendors, and auditors.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven background managing both payables and receivables in a construction or project-based finance environment.
* Proficiency with Jobpac (or similar construction accounting systems).
* Strong leadership skills and experience managing junior staff.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and reporting capabilities.
