Service Delivery Manager – Bureau of Meteorology – Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Base pay range: A$135,402 – A$152,073 per annum + 15.4% super.
Position Overview
The Bureau’s Data and Digital group (DDG) is responsible for the ICT systems that support trusted, reliable and responsive weather, water, climate, ocean and space weather services for Australia. The Service and Infrastructure Management program (SIM) oversees Service Management, Service Operations, Infrastructure, Networks, High Performance Computing, End User Services and Service Delivery, managing a significant portion of the Bureau’s budget and ensuring stability and operations of all IT assets essential to Bureau capability.
Responsibilities
- Lead contract governance and performance management for a major managed services contract within the infrastructure support domain.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on service excellence, risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement across technical, operational and executive levels.
- Serve as the primary interface between the Bureau and its managed service provider, ensuring reliable, secure and cost‑effective delivery of infrastructure services underpinning national operations and critical weather intelligence systems.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align contract objectives with strategic priorities and operational excellence.
