Civil Engineer Career Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. This is a temporary full-time position where you will gain experience across asset management, forward planning, design, and project management of Council infrastructure.
* Assist in planning, designing, and delivering civil infrastructure projects including roads, stormwater, and public spaces.
* Prepare project documentation including project planning investigations, reports, cost estimates and risk/needs assessments.
* Contribute to asset planning through data analysis, mapping, and digitisation using GIS and engineering software.
* Prepare designs using CAD and support project delivery.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including utilities and government agencies.
* Respond to civil infrastructure enquiries and correspondence.
* Assist with grant funding applications and reporting.
* Collaborate with other departments and support broader projects as required.
* Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, standards, and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering.
* Current Class C Driver Licence.
* Foundational knowledge of surveying, design, documentation, and project management, particularly for road, traffic, drainage, building, and open space projects of limited scale and complexity.
* Understanding of preparing construction cost estimates.
* Basic proficiency in civil engineering and drafting software.
