About the role:
45 hours per fortnight/ 3 days per week
Our established Tenancy and Property Team is responsible for the design and delivery of preventative maintenance requirements, responding to tenants' requests for responsive or emergency maintenance, and management of ongoing tenancy arrangements. The Maintenance Officer role provides hands on, face to face property and vehicle maintenance support to tenants of residential and commercial facilities across the greater Sydney and Blue Mountains region. It involves conducting regular site visits, performing preventative maintenance and addressing any repair needs promptly; ensuring accurate record keeping of all maintenance activities, and providing or coordinating technical advice from preferred contractors when needed.
General Maintenance tasks, within means of qualification and skill will include but are not limited to:
* Minor repairs to walls, locks, flooring and screens.
* Transportation, assembly and installation of appliances, furniture and equipment.
* Minor carpentry and painting.
* Organise vehicle service and inspections, occasionally completing minor replacement works such as headlights, tyres, or windscreen wipers.
Responsibilities include:
* Promptly review and respond to repair needs.
* Identify, report and mitigate hazards.
* Plan, complete and report on maintenance activities.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
* Coordinate cost effective repair or replacement.
* Maintain effective working relationships with key contractors.
* Build positive working relationships with Tenants.
About you:
As an experienced Maintenance Officer you communicate effectively, work collaboratively and build trusted relationships.
* Professional qualification or relevant work experience in a trade or general maintenance
* Unrestricted C-Class NSW Driver License
* Ability to self-direct and independently manage workload
* Problem solving and strong customer service skills
* Quality driven with high attention to detail
* Prior experience in Fleet (vehicle) management or maintenance, highly advantageous but not essential.
Mandatory requirements for this role include, a current NSW Drivers Licence, a NDIS Worker Screening Check, a current WWCC check and full Australian Work Rights. An offer will be made subject to a police clearance and a pre employment medical.
