Overview
Brunel has been exclusively engaged to recruit a Network Access Manager - Power for a leading energy infrastructure business based in Perth, Western Australia. This role is a key commercial and regulatory position focused on managing the end-to-end coordination of new electricity network connections within the Pilbara region.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, assessment, and execution of new electricity network connection requests
- Ensure alignment with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes
- Provide commercial oversight of PNAC and PNR to ensure cost recovery and economic viability
- Coordinate technical due diligence in collaboration with engineering teams
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective engagement
- Represent the business in regulatory negotiations and connection-related commercial discussions
- Support the integration of new assets, ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations
Requirements
We\'re seeking a commercially minded leader with a strong understanding of power networks, regulation, and connection processes in Western Australia, ideally with direct exposure to the Pilbara framework.
You will bring
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Law, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in network access or commercial operations in the power or renewables sector
- Strong contract negotiation skills and knowledge of regulatory frameworks (ideally PNAC/PNR)
- Experience working with ISO/regulatory bodies in a grid or transmission environment
- Sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage technically complex stakeholder engagement
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to balance competing technical and commercial priorities
