About the Role
The practice is entering an significant stage of growth, and are seeking a Business & Practice Operations Manager who can lead the day-to-day functions of a busy practice while also driving initiatives that strengthen its growth and community presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations including billing, patient scheduling, compliance, and staff management.
- Lead, support, and develop a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, clinical and administrative staff.
- Embed systems and processes that create efficiency, patient engagement and scalability.
- Oversee financial performance and reporting, managing budgeting, resource allocation, and outcome tracking to support informed decision-making.
- Support business development activities, including GP engagement, education events, and community outreach.
- Manage online presence, building profile and visibility through social media and professional branding.
- Work with external providers on marketing initiatives, ensuring activity aligns with growth priorities.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture within the practice, focused on patient care and continuous improvement.
About You
We are seeking an adaptable, commercially minded leader who thrives in a close-knit environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. You will bring:
- Proven experience in healthcare practice management, preferably in a surgical or multi-disciplinary setting.
- Strong financial and operational management capability, with experience embedding systems, policies, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience supporting marketing and business development activities, including GP engagement, advertising, social media, and patient outreach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence to engage GPs, referrers, patients, and community stakeholders.
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to develop and motivate a small team.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance day-to-day stability with long-term growth initiatives.
- Experience with Genie/Gentu and MYOB is desirable.
