Transformative Clinical Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to lead our headspace Early Psychosis program in Tasmania.
About the Role
* This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) ongoing position, offering flexible working conditions.
* The role involves leading clinical services for the headspace Early Psychosis program, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care for young people.
* You will provide clinical leadership and professional governance to medical staff, helping them grow and thrive in their roles.
* Collaboration with managers is essential to ensure seamless, coordinated mental health care for young people at risk or experiencing psychosis.
* Maintaining strong relationships with Tasmanian Health to ensure efficient access to emergency care and inpatient services is crucial.
EPPIC Model of Care
The EPPIC model of care is an integral part of this role. You will oversee and support its implementation, ensuring it is implemented with high fidelity to provide the best outcomes.
To Excel in This Role
* You will have medical qualifications and full registration with AHPRA, along with Fellowship in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
* A proven track record in clinical psychiatry, with extensive experience in developing and implementing programs for people experiencing mental illness.
* A strong understanding of the Tasmanian mental health sector and relevant legislation.
* Management and administrative experience (desirable but not essential) to help lead the service and implement strategic plans.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills to inspire and educate multi-disciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
