Fabrication Supervisor – Off the Tools $90,000 + Super | Full-Time
We're looking for a Fabrication Supervisor to oversee workshop operations within a busy heavy manufacturing environment. The business produces large fabricated steel components and equipment used across construction, civil, and industrial sectors.
This is an off-the-tools role suited to either an experienced supervisor or a senior boilermaker/fabricator ready to step up into leadership.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for coordinating daily fabrication activities within a busy production workshop manufacturing large steel attachments and components. The focus is on team leadership, workflow management, quality control, and maintaining a safe and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support boilermakers, welders, and trades assistants
* Allocate jobs and manage workshop workflow
* Ensure fabrication work meets engineering drawings and quality standards
* Monitor production output and deadlines
* Promote and enforce strong WHS practices
* Liaise with production and management teams
* Drive continuous improvement across workshop processes
About You
* Trade qualified in Fabrication / Boilermaking
* Strong workshop experience in heavy steel manufacturing
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Natural leadership qualities with the confidence to manage a team
* Strong safety awareness and organisational skills
* Ready to step off the tools and into a supervisory position
