Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in the operation of our Maker Space Site. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day running of the Makerspace, including maintaining consumable levels, machine readiness, housekeeping and health and safety management. You will also be involved in client induction management and technical training, as well as safety system administration and implementation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise the daily operations of the Makerspace
* Manage client inductions and technical training
* Administer safety systems
* Coordinate equipment and consumable management
* Support local innovation activities and events
* Develop site-specific SOPs
* Collect and report facility and equipment usage data
* Assist users in developing creative problem-solving skills
* Consult with users to identify project support requirements
* Work with the user and Makerspace support network to develop a technical support plan
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work on design and prototyping projects, using a range of fabrication machines and software. You will be working closely with the Project Manager and local unit innovation representatives to deliver the Army Makerspace Program.
You Will Need
* Demonstrated technical trades experience in Electronics, IT, Electrical, Fitter machinist or Mechanical / or engineering experience in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or a similar discipline
* Experience working on design and prototyping unique solutions or low-rate production runs
* Experience with laser CNC, 3D printing, PCB printing, VR/AR dev, software programmable kits, smart applications and general prototyping
* Ability to coach and mentor users to achieve project requirements
* Ability to manage the operation of fabrication machines and associated software
* Ability to research and select off-the-shelf software solutions
