BIM and Digital Innovation Leader

We are seeking an experienced BIM / Digital Technologies leader to join our team of close to 50. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about driving digital innovation within a collaborative design studio. You will lead the strategic implementation and continuous improvement of BIM processes across the practice, supporting the team in delivering exceptional projects across diverse sectors.
This is a full-time role with competitive salary and regular reviews, located in Kent Town, Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the training and development of staff in BIM software (primarily Revit), providing onboarding and ongoing support.
2. Manage model quality control, workflow optimisation, and troubleshoot project-related BIM issues.
3. Maintain and update Revit project templates, libraries, and documentation standards, ensuring alignment with project needs.
4. Develop and implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), ensuring consistency and adherence across teams and projects.
5. Collaborate with consultants and project teams to align on shared BIM deliverables, workflows, and model coordination.
6. Champion the integration of emerging digital tools like Dynamo, Rhino, and Grasshopper, leading the development of automated workflows.
7. Identify opportunities to leverage AI and other technologies to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation.
8. Stay up to date with BIM advancements, evaluate new software, and trial emerging technologies for adoption.
9. Support hands-on BIM modelling, conduct model audits, and assist with clash detection processes.
10. Promote and enforce best-practice BIM and digital workflows across the practice, ensuring all staff adhere to company protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Fundamental knowledge of architecture or a related field within construction/consultancy.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in a BIM-focused role within an architecture/design, engineering or construction practice.
3. Autodesk Revit Professional Certification (current or recently obtained).
4. Strong understanding of ISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plans.
5. Advanced proficiency in Revit and other BIM-related tools.
6. Demonstrated experience in mentoring and training staff in BIM software and processes.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
8. Familiarity with Australian construction standards and digital delivery requirements.
