Our Client is an established underground hard rock mining operations producing base metals (polymetallic deposits). We're seeking an experienced Sandvik Jumbo Operator drills to perform underground development, ground support installation, and face mark-ups in a safe and productive environment
The roster is 7 and 7 off, Days and Nights rotating shift. Flexible working options as a residential-live-in NSW based and or DIDO from surrounding areas of the Central Western and Far Western NSW regional areas (Parkes, Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo, Wellington, Broken Hill & Cobar areas)
Key Duties
* Operate conventional and Automine Sandvik DD421/421i, DD422/422i and DD431 single/twin booms Jumbo drills safely for development headings and stopes.
* Boring development faces to plan (levels, declines and inclines)
* Installation of ground support (MDX bolts, mesh, resin and split sets)
* Mark up faces, read and interpret plans with varying grades, heights, and drive sizes, and carry out rehab and spot bolting as needed.
* Conduct daily workplace inspections and hazard reporting.
About You
You must hold a Certificate III in Underground Metalliferous Mining with core competencies in development drilling and proven underground experience operating Sandvik or Epiroc equivalent jumbo drills featuring automation next generation systems.
A current Verification of Competency (VOC) for the relevant jumbo Sandvik or Epiroc equivalent drill model is required, coupled with Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, current NSW Driver's/ MR licence, and other relevant Recognise Prior Learnings(RPL) training matrix) and other relevant supporting underground competencies.
A solid understanding of development procedures and ground control standards is essential.
