What you'll be doing
As the ED & Inpatient Administration Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across emergency and inpatient administrative services, ensuring efficient systems, effective staff allocation, and high-quality support for patient care.
* Lead and manage administrative operations across ED, inpatient wards, reception and postal services
* Oversee staff allocation, performance management, coaching and professional development
* Utilise PAS, eMR and other digital systems to ensure accurate data, reporting and operational outcomes
* Manage resources, budgets and assets in line with governance, compliance and Ministry of Health requirements
* Drive quality improvement, risk management and patient-centred care through strong leadership and stakeholder engagement

Selection Criteria: 1. Demonstrated high level management skills with the capacity to lead and empower staff to achieve service outcomes. 2. Understanding of inpatient administrative needs and working knowledge of Human Resource Management policies and procedures, or willingness to learn. 3. Experience in managing budgets and staffing resources. 4. Proven effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills (written, verbal, email and telephone) including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with various stakeholders. 5. Proven high level of computer literacy, including the use of hospital programs, spreadsheets, database and word processing software. 6. Effective problem-solving skills, sound judgment with capacity to make informed decisions. 7. Works effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment. 8. Proven ability to effectively prioritise and organise work activities to achieve service outcomes within strict timeframes.
