**About the Role**

As Data Governance and Information Management Consultant, you will work on transformative projects, guiding clients to build trust in their data and systems through best practices in governance, compliance, and management across a wide range of industries.

You will be part of a highly skilled, award-winning team which has a focus on both the technical and business aspects of data, analytics, and AI. We believe that this will make you a very well rounded and valued data and information professional.

Your colleagues have experience in a range of disciplines including data and information management, information protection, enterprise architecture, artificial intelligence, machine learning, the modern data stack, and cloud technologies. They will also help you develop your business acumen across finance, economics, project management, business strategy and transformation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement robust data governance frameworks to enhance organi s ational trust.
- Lead or support the development of enterprise content, records, and information management strategies.
- Consult on data management topics, including data strategy, master data management, and data governance.
- Advise on data solutions related to data management/governance programs, such as data migration, data cataloguing, data quality, business glossary, metadata management, and master data management.
- Support clients in launching and transforming data management and governance programs, establishing data ownership across their businesses by building up data governance organi s ations.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure data privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct assessments of data handling practices to identify risks and recommend mitigations.
- Develop policies, procedures, and tools to support data management and security.
- Design workflows for secure and efficient management of sensitive data and records.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to drive understanding and adoption of governance principles.
- Contribute to a dynamic team that combines data and information management skills and industry expertise.
- Support continual improvement initiatives to enhance our data trust practice.

**About You**

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about fostering trust through effective data and information management. Ideally you have a strong work ethic and can work both within a team environment and by yourself.

At the same time, you will make a concerted effort to understand the broader organisational context for delivery so that outcomes can be tailored to the organisation and smoothly adopted and aligned to a clear value proposition.

**Ideally you will have**experience in**some of the following**:

- Strong understanding of information management, data management, and project management principles. P rivacy or records management experience is strongly desired.
- Experience in developing and implementing data and information management policies and frameworks.
- Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (e.g. Australian Privacy Act, GDPR ).
- Knowledge of enterprise content management tools and practices. Microsoft SharePoint experience is strongly desired.
- Knowledge of eDiscovery tools and practices. Microsoft Purview experience is strongly desired.
- Analytical skills to assess complex scenarios and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with executives and stakeholders.
- A track record of delivering results in a consulting or advisory capacity is highly desirable.
