Deliver counselling & group work to support children, young people, & families affected by separation & family violence.
Join Our Team
We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team of social workers, counsellors, and psychologists delivering evidence-based counselling and group work. In this role, you will support children and young people (6–18 years) from separated or separating families who have been impacted by family violence. Our primary approach is Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), with full training provided. Part time role, 60 hours per fortnight.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual counselling and group programs for children, young people, and parents.
* Maintain confidentiality and uphold duty of care at all times.
* Participate in program meetings and ongoing professional development.
* Ensure clinical and administrative practices meet program standards and policies.

About Us

About You
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional who brings:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work (with AASW membership), Psychology (AHPRA registration), or Counselling (degree-qualified with ACA or PACFA membership).
* Extensive experience supporting children, young people, and families impacted by family violence and trauma.
* Knowledge and practice in TF-CBT, or a strong willingness to be trained in this approach.
* Commitment to child safety, with a client-centred and family-focused practice.
* Strong relationship-building skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
* Capability to manage complex needs and respond to critical incidents with professionalism and care.
* Well-developed communication and time management skills.
* Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic databases.
* An understanding of EEO, Work Health & Safety, and confidentiality obligations.
Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check. You must also hold a current driver's licence, and a Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT).
