This is a Sales and Estimating Manager role with Boral based in Melbourne, VIC, AU Boral Role Seniority - mid level More about the Sales and Estimating Manager role at Boral Your next opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales leader to join our Asphalt business in Victoria, playing a key role in strategically growing our business, making a strong impact across the state and continuing to drive Boral’s long-standing market presence. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for coaching, guiding and collaborating with the Sales & Estimating team to ensure that projects are tendered and managed consistent with business and client expectations, whilst aiming to meet business growth targets through preparation of quotes, offers, tenders and EOI’ to maximise margin. Leading a skilled team comprising of Estimators and Key Account Managers, you will ensure high standards are upheld and align with the ‘Boral Way’, as well as lead by example as a key representative of the business to the external market. Your day will involve: Identifying opportunities for improving competitive position within the market, giving strong focus to winning projects being tendered. Exercising strong commercial acumen and relationship building with external market Manage risk through efficient and effective pre-tender reviews, contract review project post audits and applying appropriate training Managing the Sales and Estimating team Developing and drafting professional tender submissions for Major Projects Attending and representing Boral at industry events Ensuring accuracy of all estimates and tenders Liaising with Operations team to leverage Boral’s supply chain strength Managing product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed terms Managing Project costs Living and showcasing ‘The Boral Way’ values What are we looking for? Results driven, experienced Sales leader with strong estimating, contract negotiation, administrative and project management skills Experience within the Construction industry (Civil experience is beneficial) Strong leadership skills with ability to clearly communicate targets effectively Excellent understanding of finance and the commercial market Experienced in risk management Well presented with a high level of interpersonal skills Great attention to detail Excellent stakeholder and relationship building skills What’s on Offer?
