**Where you'll be working**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon to join the medical team at Queanbeyan District Hospital.
Queanbeyan Hospital and Health Service is part of the Monaro Network. It has 29 inpatient beds and offers emergency medicine; surgery (orthopaedics, gastroenterology, gynaecology, general surgery and obstetrics); inpatient services including close observation, maternity, surgical and medical beds; renal dialysis; pathology collection; pharmacy; and medical imaging (x-ray, CT and ultrasound).
**What you'll be doing**
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes.
Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
You will be employed by Southern NSW Local Health District. The position is primarily located at the facility applied for**.** Secondary appointments within other facilities may occur by mutual agreement.

**Selection Criteria**:
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist orthopaedics.
- Demonstrated recent Clinical experience in Orthopaedics.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
