About Us
Allied Grain Systems is a forward-thinking rural construction company located in Young, NSW. We specialise in assembling prefabricated silos across regional areas in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Leading Hand to support our on-site Supervisor in managing small teams during the construction of large-scale silo projects. This is a hands-on role, ideal for candidates with practical experience in construction, mechanical assembly, or rural/agricultural builds.
This opportunity is perfect for individuals looking to demonstrate their leadership capabilities. Successful candidates will be positioned for career progression within the company, with the potential to eventually lead their own crew.
We offer both casual and full-time employment options, providing flexibility for those seeking regular project-based work or a more permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage a crew of up to 5 team members.
- Safely and efficiently assemble large silos in remote/regional locations
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of project documentation
- Work on a 3-weeks-on / 1-week-off roster
- Enjoy paid travel, accommodation, and daily meal allowances
What We’re Looking For
- Background in construction, rural building, or mechanical work
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- White Card and Driver’s Licence are essential
- Additional tickets (Forklift, EWP, Rigging) are highly regarded
