The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe, holistic nursing care to clients of all ages and cultural groups, including individuals and their families. The Registered Nurse practices independently and interdependently assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions, and the delegation to and the supervision of care provided by Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and health care students (ANMC National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse).
