Civil Design Engineers | Canberra, ACT
We are seeking motivated Junior and Senior Civil Design Engineers to join our growing Canberra team and support the delivery of high-quality transport and civil infrastructure projects across the ACT.
In these roles, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver design solutions for roads, intersections, active travel, traffic signals, lighting, stormwater drainage, and associated civil and transport infrastructure. Senior engineers will also have opportunities to lead design packages, mentor junior staff, and contribute to project planning and coordination.

* Active travel design, including on and off road paths and crossing improvements.
* Road design, including road pavement rehabilitation and intersection upgrades.
* Traffic signal and streetlight designs.
* Local Area Traffic Management.
* Temporary Traffic Management for Major Events and Construction.
* Contract Administration and Superintendence.
What You’ll Do:
* Prepare design documentation using Civil Site Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other CAD‑based software tools.
* Collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and multidisciplinary project stakeholders to ensure coordinated project outcomes.
* Ensure all designs exceed our clients’ expectations, complying within the parameters of MIS/MITS, Austroads guidelines, and relevant Australian Standards
What You’ll Bring:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, with a strong interest in becoming Chartered (or already Chartered).
* Civil design experience or recently graduated for Junior roles (preferred).
* 10+ years’ civil design experience for Senior roles (preferred).
* Strong foundational technical skills and a detail‑oriented approach to design and documentation, bringing innovative thinking to develop practical solutions.
* Enthusiasm for teamwork and a willingness to develop new skills to meet evolving project requirements and grow into more complex responsibilities.
* Ability to undertake field and site investigations to support design development.
