Located in the heart of the Darling Downs, a well-established community pharmacy in Toowoomba is seeking a motivated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead both the professional and operational aspects of the business. This full-time, permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist ready to step into a leadership position, supported by a capable and collaborative team.
You'll be responsible for managing the pharmacy's daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional care to the local community. This role offers the chance to take ownership of a busy dispensary, mentor staff, and support professional services such as vaccinations and health programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy as Pharmacist in Charge
* Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients
* Ensure compliance with AHPRA, PBS, QCPP, and relevant legislation
* Supervise and support dispensary staff and pharmacy assistants
* Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control
* Build relationships with local GPs and allied health professionals
* Deliver professional services where accredited (e.g. vaccinations)
* Contribute to continuous improvement and business growth
About You
* AHPRA registered Pharmacist (unrestricted)
* Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in a retail pharmacy setting
* Confident in operating as sole pharmacist when required
* Sound understanding of Australian pharmacy operations and regulations
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care
