Fire Management Professional
We are seeking a skilled Fire Management Professional to play a critical role in supporting the planning, organisation and implementation of works programs and operations relating to fire management.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assists in the development and execution of works programs and operations relating to fire management.
* Participates in prescribed burning and bushfire suppression operations.
* Monitors and reports on fire management activities.
* Liaises with community groups, stakeholders and other external organisations in a positive and informed manner.
Key Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of and experience in fire related activities for biodiversity conservation and community asset protection purposes.
2. Experience in leading and managing teams, including implementing works programs and scheduling work.
3. Good communication skills, including report writing and demonstrated experience in GIS and electronic data management.
The Warren Region is home to diverse ecosystems, including coastal heath, tall karri forests and remnant Tingle forest. Our team manages these lands for nature conservation, parks and visitor services, sustainable forest management, and fire management.
