MIXED PRODUCTION FARM WORKER (2 POSITIONS)
Bonelah Pastoral Pty Ltd is seeking two dedicated Mixed Production Farm Workers for our beef cattle and cropping operation in the Riverina region. These full-time roles involve a variety of tasks, with on-the-job training provided.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Assist in animal husbandry, including feeding, handling, mustering, and monitoring the health and welfare of beef cattle.
Support crop production activities, such as sowing, fertilizing, irrigating, and harvesting crops.
Operate and maintain farm machinery, including tractors, seeders, and irrigation systems.
Handle and apply chemicals safely, following farm plans and Australian pesticide regulations, utilising ChemCert skills (if held).
Conduct general maintenance of farm infrastructure (e.g., sheds, fences, irrigation systems) and perform minor equipment repairs.
Monitor and report on livestock and crop health, maintaining accurate records of movements, activities, and chemical usage.
Participate in workplace health and safety (WHS) inspections, risk assessments, and incident reporting, adhering to NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
Collaborate with Farm Directors, casual workers, and contractors to meet production deadlines, especially during peak seasons.
Skills & Requirements:
• Minimum 12 months' experience in mixed farming (beef cattle and/or cropping).
• Possession of a ChemCert Certificate (or equivalent) for chemical handling is highly desirable.
• Basic ability to operate farm machinery.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying conditions.
• Current driver's license.
• Willingness to relocate to the Riverina.
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and team orientation.
• Reliable, team-oriented, with a strong work ethic; ability to work independently after training is desirable.
• Experience in regional Australian farming or knowledge of beef cattle/crop management is a plus.
