Job Description
The Australian National Botanic Gardens, located on the lower slopes of Black Mountain in Canberra, hosts the nation's largest living collection of Australian native plants. The gardens feature over 4,000 species representing one-fifth of Australia's known native plants with over 78,000 plants growing on site.
It is the only place in the world you can see this diversity of Australian flora in one location. The living collection is an important scientific resource for conservation and research purposes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with management of service contracts such as pay parking, cleaning, utilities (water, electricity, gas), including undertaking tender processes as required.
* Assist with management of donation programs.
* Assist with budget development, forecasting and revenue management including monthly financial reporting.
* Prepare journals and end of month processing including end of month accrual pack.
* Provide a full range of accounts payable and receivable services including banking and revenue reporting.
* Assist with the management of general office services including inbox management.

Requirements
Citizenship - to be eligible for employment, you must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance - this position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Pre-employment checks - your suitability for employment will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes a requirement to undergo and satisfy a National Police Check, referee checks, character clearance and where required a pre-employment medical assessment, specified mandatory qualification(s) validation and a probation period.
