Job Description
This position is responsible for the management of sales activities in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and to achieve/exceed budget in executing the sales strategy of the Hotel.
* Achieve daily targeted number of sales calls with effectiveness.
* Develop business leads for the hotel on a weekly basis.
* Prepare a monthly list of accounts to target for the following month.
* Plan and conduct a minimum of 2 site inspections or entertainment meetings per week with qualified potential or new accounts.
* Prepare a monthly action plan focusing on the main market segments.
* Perform a monthly review of account profiles, focusing on room night production and average rates.
* Monitor competitors’ rate strategies, account penetrationand marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge.
* Take full responsibility for accounts under management, including contracting, profile updatesand contract renewals.
* Update management on VIP arrivals and provide meet-and-greet services accordingly.
* Up-sell, cross-selland promote hotel facilities and services at every opportunity to maximize sales revenue.
* Conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit margins and rates for the hotel.
* Attend hotel client functions and local business community events to network and maintain high visibility.
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
* Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
* Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
* Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
