In between Bendigo and Melbourne. Lengthy LOM with a strong production outlook High-grade narrow-vein gold and antinomy Experiencing minor ground squeezing and convergence 4G Telstra coverage on site The Role Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will enjoy working in a close-knit team of experienced underground mining professionals. Your duties will include (but not limited to): Design, develop, update and track rolling quarterly schedules on a monthly basis. Quarterly schedules are to be developed in alignment with LOM plans in coordination with Long-term Planning Engineer. Liaise with mine geology to understand and account for risks with the plan and drive short term POD drilling strategies. Communicate quarterly schedules, mining activities and sequences through presentation, physicals summaries and design shape outputs. Support the Technical services with mine design requirements needed to deliver the quarterly schedule Weekly schedule reviews and priority checks with the Operations Engineers. Ensure weekly schedules are aligned with the quarterly schedule and all mining activities are conducted and sequenced in a safe manner. Weekly hold point checks of production activities. Develop and complete area planned designs in alignment with long-term plans. Area planned designs are to consider mining sequencing, geotechnical constraints and geological actions required prior to the Mine design summary process. Complete development and production designs for input into quarterly schedules. Generate, update and populate a mine planning projects database for short to long term planning projects. Conduct economic assessments of mining areas for short-medium term mine scheduling. Assist long-term planning engineer as required with mining feasibility and economic assessments of near mine extensions and exploration targets. Thorough and detailed description of all duties can be provided in the site pack, upon application The Roster 5 days on, 2 days off 8 hours per day Your Value Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent qualifications A minimum of two years' experience as a Mining Engineer (with mine planning experience) Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office computer packages (Word, Excel etc) Proficient in the use of mine design software (Deswik) A good communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills First Aid Certificate or equivalent Strong safety focus on site A current driver license What's next?
