We are a growing steel manufacturing business specialising in screw pile production. Our workshop operates across several production areas and we are looking for a reliable person to help coordinate workflow across the factory floor.
This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing or workshop experience who is organised, proactive, and comfortable communicating with production teams.
About the Role
The Production Coordinator acts as the link between scheduling and the factory floor. You will be responsible for distributing job paperwork, coordinating workflow across the workshop, and helping ensure production runs efficiently and safely.
You will spend most of your time moving around the workshop ensuring jobs are progressing and that workers have the information and materials they need.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect jobs from scheduling and distribute it to relevant areas of the workshop
* Coordinate job flow between different production areas
* Monitor progress of jobs and help keep work moving through the factory
* Communicate clearly with workers to ensure tasks are understood and completed
* Maintain and promote safe work practices across the workshop
* Help keep the factory clean, organised, and running efficiently
* Assist with basic stock control and ensure materials and supplies are available for upcoming jobs
* Use basic computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, to track production and job information
Skills and Experience
* Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or factory environment preferred
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a busy workshop environment
* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel
* Forklift licence
* Reliable and proactive attitude
