Campus, Development and Services, Sunshine Coast Campus, Sippy Downs Level 7, $102,512 - $112,061 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation Full-time, ongoing appointment The Opportunity As our new Venues & Catering Manager, you'll lead the operations of UniSC's on-campus food outlets and catering services, while also overseeing the hire and delivery of events across our unique spaces. It's a hands-on leadership role that blends hospitality, commercial focus and community connection-making sure everything runs smoothly for students, staff and guests alike. You'll work with your team to streamline operations, enhance the quality of our services, and grow the external use of our venues into a thriving and sustainable business. More information For more information, please visit us online: Campus Development and Services You will Lead the smooth running of our Venues & Catering operations, focusing on people, service, planning and performance; Keep our food and beverage offering fresh and relevant by tuning into student needs, local trends and new ideas; Build a thriving venue hire and events service that supports campus life, delivers great experiences and grows revenue. About you You're a natural organiser and people leader with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for creating exceptional experiences. You bring fresh ideas, commercial smarts, and a steady hand to every event or service you manage. You understand what great customer service looks like and are excited to shape the future of venues and catering at UniSC. Qualifications and skills Experience leading a large hospitality and events team in a fast-paced environment with a focus on commercial outcomes. Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, Liquor Licensing, Food Safety, and ability to hold a Queensland Liquor Approved Manager licence. Strong organisational skills for logistics and event management. Excellent relationship-building skills with staff, suppliers, and customers. Financial management experience, including budgets and operations. Decision-making skills prioritising safety and aligning with university values. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with leadership qualities for supervising staff.
