Performance and Planning Manager – Melbourne Assessment Prison Precinct
Position within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP), a maximum-security pre‐end facility in Melbourne. The role is full‐time and offers the opportunity to work with a high‐performing, passionate team.
Remuneration
VPS 5: $116,413 - $140,849 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‐level authoritative advice to senior managers and key stakeholders on complex and sensitive matters, including coordinating and preparing briefings, submissions and speeches.
* Lead and supervise a small team, planning and prioritising work, allocating resources, monitoring and assessing staff performance, and ensuring the delivery of high‐quality, responsive and timely advice and services.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of business excellence strategies, business plans, policies and procedures as part of the executive team of MAP.
* Coordinate process re‐engineering through continuous analysis, assessment and evaluation of processes, procedures and performance data, and implement improved performance monitoring systems in conjunction with prison management.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects in a timely and effective manner.
* Demonstrated experience in, or understanding of, working and managing people within a correctional environment.
