We're excited to welcome a Patient Support Assistant to Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.

As a Patient Support Assistant improving the patient's experience is the focus of your daily tasks, both directly and indirectly. You will provide a safe environment by ensuring its cleanliness and provide staff with ready access to clean linen, material and equipment. You will also take pride in the high quality and nutritional food and beverage service you deliver by preparing, plating and presenting meals for distribution. You will have the opportunity to interact with patients by moving them safely throughout the hospital and assist the clinical team to position and support their patients during treatment and care. You will work as part of a dynamic team following procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment and receiving, storing and rotating stock.
Key responsibilities include:
•Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with Infection Control Guidelines.
•Perform scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks as per task specification / procedures list.
•Bed cleaning and making for dischage rooms.
•Assist clinical staff to position and support patients during treatment and care.
•Transfer patients throughout the facility.
Salary rates: $32.18 - $34.33 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO3) (part time position available, 32 hrs p.f.)
