Job Overview
We are seeking a Community Development Manager to lead our community development initiatives and create positive change in our masterplanned communities.
This role will be responsible for planning and delivering community-building and placemaking initiatives, enhancing resident belonging, community wellbeing and connection through stakeholder engagement, programming, partnerships and other community-strengthening initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Asset Based Community Development and highly developed stakeholder engagement abilities. They will also possess a high-level of computer literacy and experience in delivering community programs, managing events and coordinating community development.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement community development strategies to deliver social sustainability outcomes
* Plan and deliver community-building and placemaking initiatives
* Enhance resident belonging, community wellbeing and connection through stakeholder engagement, programming, partnerships and other community-strengthening initiatives
* Manage events, coordinate community activities and develop onsite programming
* Engage with stakeholders including community groups, local government and diverse residents
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in delivering community programs and managing events
* Highly developed stakeholder engagement abilities
* Understanding of Asset Based Community Development
* High-level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop publishing tools
* Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience in Placemaking, Community Development and/or Social Sustainability
* Current driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
