About the role
The Student Support Services School Buy-In team works in partnership with preschool and school leadership to develop tailored and accountable school-based allied health projects. As a member of this team, the School Based Senior Social Worker provides culturally responsive and contemporary social work expertise to support school improvement initiatives and interventions.
Student Support Services are on a culturally responsive journey, as such we value and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being.
This project-based position entails leading the development and delivery of high-quality, multi-tiered evidence informed interventions and practices aimed at enhancing student wellbeing and their engagement in learning. By utilising research and data analysis, the School Based Senior Social Worker ensures ongoing evaluation and monitoring of project implementation, and the achievement of intended outcomes.
Qualifications
Essential: An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership to Australian Association of Social Workers.
Desirable: Evidence of a commitment to continuous learning and experience working with young people.
