About the Role

Douglas Shire Council is seeking a Senior Library Officer with outstanding customer service skills to join the team.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

* Minimum five (5) years' experience in a similar role in a library.
* Queensland C class Driver's License and possession of a Working with Children Check (blue card).
* High level of computer skills including experience using a range of technology such as computer software, scanners, photocopiers and handheld devices such as tablets, e-readers and smart phones.
* Ability to maintain and compile statistical information for reporting to Council and State Library of Queensland.
* Attention to detail and proven ability to undertake tasks and duties in a logical and objective manner.
* Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
* Ability to work as part of a client focused team.
* Problem solving skills including dealing with difficult customers.
* Demonstrated sound numeracy and literacy skills.
