This role is focused on conducting a comprehensive code audit and pre-launch review for a SaaS job management application designed for Australian painting contractors. Built with React and TypeScript on the frontend and Express/Node.js on the backend, the app is hosted on Render and is approaching its launch phase. The successful candidate will be responsible for thoroughly reviewing the codebase to identify bugs, security vulnerabilities, and broken functionality, as well as assessing TypeScript quality and running dependency audits. The position also requires end-to-end testing of all core features, evaluation of mobile responsiveness, and the delivery of a detailed written report outlining prioritized findings and actionable recommendations. Preference will be given to candidates based in Brisbane who can attend in-person meetings and provide fixes via pull requests or inline comments. Immediate availability is required due to the urgent timeline.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a full codebase review for bugs, security issues, and broken functionality
* Assess TypeScript implementation and code quality
* Perform dependency audits and ensure up-to-date, secure packages
* Test all core features end-to-end for reliability and performance
* Evaluate mobile responsiveness across devices and browsers
* Prepare a comprehensive written report with prioritized findings and suggested fixes
* Deliver fixes via pull requests or inline code comments where possible
* Attend in-person meetings in Brisbane as needed
Skills And Requirements
* Proven expertise in React, TypeScript, and Express/Node.js
* Demonstrated experience auditing and reviewing SaaS applications
* Strong understanding of secure coding practices and dependency management
* Ability to identify and communicate technical issues clearly and concisely
